Introduction

The Ark-La-Tex Academy of Dentistry's inaugural meeting was in September, 1984. Our membership has grown to approximately 100 and is comprised mostly of general and family practices, as well as members from all dental specialties. We strongly encourage staff involvement at all meetings.

Some of the best clinicians, communicators and educators in the world have given presentations to our group. We are honored to have hosted so many world-renowned dental educators.

It is our goal and mission to provide our dental community with the highest standards in continuing education. All of our seminars are AGD-PACE approved and we are an ADA CERP recognized provider. Each year, a minimum of 40 hours is provided for our membership.

The Ark-La-Tex Academy of Dentistry is very grateful to our founding member, Dr. Perry W. Hollembeak. Dr. Hollembeak turned his vision and dream into reality. His leadership, coupled with the financial direction of Dr. Chic Bachtel, has led the Ark-La-Tex Academy to be one of the most successful study clubs in North America.
